'you have a choice- to deceive yourself, or to deceive him. which one would you rather? in the end, you get hurt both ways'.
so what's the difference?
had a really meaningful talk with the taxi uncle just now, and he has taught me so much in just 10 mins (: he taught (not really, it was more like a reminder) me not to judge by appearances, people who look like saints can be rotten on the inside, while those who look like they belong to a gang or whatever are actually the nicest people on the inside. goodly apple rotten at heart. he also taught me that life brings surprises, more often good than bad; complaining would just do injustice because all God wants is the best for us. (even though he was a muslim). lastly, he taught me how to relax! HAHAH i tell you i srsly needed that.
even though i think i lie too much to myself. self inflicted hurt.
and that taxi uncle showed me a picture of his joy- his four year old son mohammad. at the end of the taxi ride, he wished me good luck with a reassuring smile that everything will be okay. he said, 'you see, i am happy now'. i love taxi uncles, they have so much to share.
i think i want to quit my job soon. then, it'll just be running away from everything and i srsly need to stop doing that. somehow, that's the only thing in life i feel like i'm actually good at.
i'm probably just rambling. gonna sleep. seeked solace in the bible, and this is what i found. i'm sure i'll realise why God gave me this word tomorrow when i wake up- right now, my brain/ mind's not functioning properly.
'surely, he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
and by His wounds we are healed'
